Hi, I’m Mark, a professional wedding photographer from Belfast, Northern Ireland. I photograph weddings throughout Ireland. Photography has always been my passion, and I’ve been lucky enough to work full-time as a photographer since leaving university.

I’m married to the wonderful Ruth. She’s always been my best friend and works hard behind the scenes to keep things running smoothly at Mark Barton Photography. We have two amazing boys who keep life full of energy. When I’m not photographing weddings, you’ll usually find us out on long walks or family adventures, enjoying the outdoors together. We’re big fans of travel and love exploring new places, especially anywhere with a bit of a Scandi feel.

Over the years, I’ve realised that the thing I love most about photography isn’t just creating beautiful images, it’s capturing moments that make people feel something. A photograph should take you right back to that instant, the joy, the laughter, the love. That’s what drives me.

On your wedding day, my focus is on capturing your story naturally, no awkward poses, no heavy filters, just timeless images that show the real emotion, mood, and personality of your day.
