There are some weddings that feel instantly special from the moment you arrive, and Micheál & Alice’s wedding at Donegal Boardwalk Resort & Spa, Carrigart, Co. Donegal was definitely one of those days. Surrounded by breathtaking coastal scenery, beautiful light and the sound of the sea nearby, their day was full of warmth, joy and unforgettable moments.
This wedding was especially meaningful for me, as I had previously photographed Alice’s sister’s wedding, so it was lovely to be back with the family again to capture another chapter of their story. The setting at Donegal Boardwalk Resort is simply incredible, with sweeping views and peaceful surroundings. It suited Micheál & Alice perfectly. From the morning preparations through to the celebrations later in the day, everything felt relaxed, happy and full of genuine emotion.
One of the things that stood out most was the love shared throughout the day. Their families and friends brought great energy, laughter and emotion, making every part of the celebration feel real and heartfelt.
The atmosphere carried beautifully into the evening with speeches, great food and a lively dancefloor. It was a pleasure to capture Micheál & Alice’s wedding at Donegal Boardwalk Resort & Spa, documenting their story from start to finish.
